Greenwood Industries is Hiring a Safety Manager Near Boston, MA
Established in 1992, Greenwood Industries is a privately held company that’s grown to become one of the Top 10 commercial roofing and building envelope systems contractors in the United States. We are headquartered in Worcester, Massachusetts, with nine locations throughout the Northeast.
Greenwood Industries is looking to hire an experienced Safety Manager based out of our Worcester Office. The Safety Manager's responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Travel to jobsites to conduct detailed safety inspections
- Excellent working knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Develops and conducts employee safety and health training programs
- Manages project security contracts, programs and policies
- Performs record keeping functions
- Conducts incident and injury investigations
- Writes detailed injury reports
- Completes all appropriate company safety program documents
- Monitors construction safety program administration
- Supports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of safety
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications:
- A clean, valid driver’s license is mandatory
- Degree in Safety Management preferred or relevant experience.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Ability to conduct oneself professionally in a business setting
- Exhibit strong organizational, time management, and detail-oriented skills.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in PC programs, including Microsoft Office.
- Union Commercial Roofing Experience is preferred
- Asbestos Safety Experience required
- Ability to travel to job sites over state of MA
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
